I loved the original three Star Wars movie series (and have them on my shelf) but never was fond of the rest of the follow-ups. I'll admit, because I haven't read a lot of sci-fi in recent times, both Thrawn and Timothy Zahn are new to me. Now I'm off to look them up!

I hope you enjoy them. You'll learn much more about Thrawn in Zahn's more recent books. For me, Outbound Flight is fun and I really enjoyed Thrawn. But as with all Star Wars stuff, engage your suspension of belief.

I'm glad you covered this trilogy. I read the first one or two long ago, and wasn't able to finish for some reason. I have to go back to it. I do remember Thrawn and Mara Jade being really good characters. And the world building was solid. This deserved a revisit.

Yes it does. I think it's a pity Dave Favreau didn't decide to make these into a series. But I suppose it gets difficult now the main characters are either dead or geriatric.

I loved the Thrawn books! I still can't understand why that wasn't the direction they went with the new Star Wars movies.

That's at least two of us.
